Before you design your Facebook timeline cover its worth bearing in mind that they have introduced some new rules:

No calls to action such as like or share.
No promotional offers.
No contact information (That should be on your pages about section).

A bit of a pain if like me you had devised offers with the previous customized landing pages. However the new page structure does give you the opportunity to create an inspirational cover. If you are looking for ideas read on.

If you are not creative you can download one from a selection of 15 on the Fake Science Facebook page.

Along with countless other people since I started using WordPress I am now wondering what took me so long! It has so much functionality and the support forums are excellent. Having said that, there were a couple of really straightforward tasks that it took me a while to work out when I was creating my first website. Most of the answers were staring me in the face I just didn’t know where to look. I’m going to go though a few of them in this and subsequent blogs.

How to change the blog title and tagline

This applies to version 3.3
Go to your dashboard
Click the Settings tab
Click the General tab

Change Site Title from My Blog to your title

Change Tagline from My WordPress blog

Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page

And that’s it!
